The last telephone pole.
Dramatic Redmond skies form a stunning backdrop to some trees.
Hi all. Recently I flew from Seattle to Mumbai. I have put together some shots that I took from this flight.
Extinct volcanoes in Iran.
Standing on a mountain peak looking down. This is a shot taken when my plane was right above a mountain peak in Greenland. This gives the feel of looking straight down the peak of a 8000 foot mountain.
Mountains near the Greenland coast bathed in sunlight. Hard to imagine that these icy wastelands exist on earth. Shot from an Airbus travelling between Seattle and Amsterdam.
The desert wastelands near Iran. A cloudless day makes it easy for me to shoot this from a jet liner at its cruise altitude.
Volcanic mountains overlook a desert near Iran. Shot from 30000 feet from a DC30 aircraft.
After about 3 weeks in the US it was good to be back home. I decided to go for a drive to Nandi Hills. Nandi Hills are about an hours drive from the city of Bangalore. I have blogged some pictures that I took on my trip to the hills.
Monkey mum and baby.
We arrived at Nandi Hills on an overcast day. It was nice and cool and a strong breeze blew across the hill as we drove up its slopes
A bench invited us to sit there and enjoy the view of the land around us.
Two centipedes cozy up on an old tree amidst the moss on its bark.
The park on top of the hill is full of tall eucalyptus trees.
The patchwork quilt of the Karnataka countryside as seen from the top.
The 907 year old Sacred Bull ( Nandi ) is a major attraction here.
The countryside. In the middle of the picture the green patch is a vineyard and the patch at the bottom left is a cocnut plantation.
I spotted a chameleon on a rock.
The famous ruler Tipu Sultan used to throw criminals and spies off this cliff! Very drastic measures people had in olden times. Currently known as suicide point.
